How the audit trail works
Document is sent for signature
BuiltSign generates a unique fingerprint (hash) of the document the moment it is sent. Any change after this point is detectable.
Signer authenticates and signs
The signer's email, timestamp and IP address are recorded at the moment of signing. The signature is cryptographically bound to the document.
Certificate is generated
A tamper-proof certificate is attached to the signed document, containing the full signing history — verifiable by any third party.
